  1. What happened to the Abilka line? And there were only white wolves at first, or she only mentioned the white wolves?

Also, we learn more about the Rumuah. Ability: Genetic memory.

    1. To (hopefully) put her speech into proper grammar, “Loga about the process are here…and you…there are white wolves in only three bloodlines. Akaelae, Asara, and Ablika. You are a descendant of one.” Please correct me if I’m wrong. ^^

      1. Hmm. Ada tried a half dozen languages before they settled on “servant speak”, so Ada probably isn’t used to the grammar and syntax of the cyantian language. Also, when you wither away and die as an adult, there’s only so much time to master a language you may never use.

        1. Speaks like Mordin.

  2. Sounds like there was a lot more to the Akaelae wolves even before the Prime modifications made by the Squids.

She definitely sounds like she has a high opinion of Darius’s bloodline.

  3. I knew it. Somewhere, someone tweaked the history books. Likely before Alpha’s time.

    1. It might not have even been deliberate. It might have just been an error or an innocent mistake. It HAS been long enough that Darius doesn’t know offhand what a Rumuah looks like.

Madd: Only those three families had white wolves in their bloodlines, which explains why we rarely see white wolves that aren’t Darius and Celina. (And their families.) It’s likely that the Abilka line just faded into the social (and possibly genetic) background of wolf society.

Josh: Well, if you’re designing a servant, why not make them as good as possible?

    2. History is written by the victors…or the survivors. Not necessarily a tweak, but a perception.

  4. I’m going to be a wiseguy here, and say that what happened happened because that’s how she meant it to happen (sorry if I forget the name of the artist/author). Story wise, though, it will be interesting to see why things were messed with.

  5. Well, Darius seemed to show something like eidetic memory back in school. Though he hasn’t shown any genetic memories (how would that work anyways?)

    1. I seem to remember Darius having dreams earlier in the comic of running around like a wild playful pup.

It could be that the genetic memories are mostly about the days when their ancestors were nothing but wild wolfs and don’t have the advanced genetic memory as their creators or possibly have a limiter installed to keep that in check.

  6. Ok, just how did Ada know Darius was of the Akaelae considering he ain’t very white right now.

    1. She can see the white roots in his fur. 😉 (She knows he’s covered in mud. )

      1. That points to the Rumuah upgrading their eyes and possibly their noses, ears and everything else they could think of while they were at it.

Which is part of the problem.

        1. Now that’s a valid point.

        2. *laugh* Or the simpler: It’s difficult to portray that from a distance. 😀

  7. Well how many of each bloodline were directly involved with Rumuah.. Not sure if Tiff is rewriting things.. But four centuries ago based on Syrus who was an Oemga wolf was fighting with the fox and captured

    1. I’m not sure what you’re saying but according to the timeline on ShivaeWiki the Rumuah died out in the 11th century AD. A century and a half later Alpha was born and the Moulin Phedra (squids) invaded. Syrys is only about six hundred counting the time he was frozen, neither he nor his father would have been around when the Rumuah were, except maybe for the previous caretaker.

Granted there’s a bit of a difference between Cyantian and earth years, and who knows what units the Rumuah used.

      1. The last caretaker broke the chain 200years ago therefore they still had servants.. also over 400years ago Sirius was capture by the fox in a war.. so either there is major difference in times units or after the Rumuah ‘died’ there was still a number of each servant class working with the caretaker while the rest formed their societies
