I’ve been about a foot and a half lower than where Vin is right now. And I was getting kicked by another horse at the time.
Vin’s lucky, he’s got a decent chance at shifting himself back into the saddle. He’s probably going to remember the exact view he has of the ground/river right now for a long time though.
