  1. these aren’t run of the mill Cubs your dealing with

    1. Well, the ones with the stick-thingies aren’t anyway (can’t do much with a rock, unless you’re really good at bludgeoning people with them), but that could just be the ability to use any weapon they want any time they want to, which would certainly make ME, a total almost completely harmless nerd/geek, into a freakin’ army of one. Plus, why doesn’t what’s-her-name with the rock have a stick-thingy anyway? And did the idea for those by chance come from that cartoon Xio Lin Showdown? Because there was something that eventually showed up in there that was VERY similar, even in color (it was a lighter blue, being made of enchanted water).

  2. “Such skill in one so young! Are you from the Northern Mountains?” -Jackie Chan, Forbidden Kingdom

  3. Someone forgot to mention “Genetic Elite” to the cubnappers……

  4. Well, I called that wrong. Kel and Sheana are fighting. I did forget to factor in that Sheana would heal pretty quickly once she started moving. And they’ve been training for years, as Alpha and Syrys knew something like this was coming.

This makes me wonder what Rama has planned for this contingency. Oooh, wait. I think I know one possibility. Damn. That would be evil if Rama came in and beat these fox up to show that he is a “friend” to the cubs.

  5. And Rama is somewhat evil. I mean, I have a suspicion that he might be the one that whispered in some fox ears, if you understand what I’m getting at. Then again, I may be barking up the wrong tree.

    1. somewhat evil? he is, after all, a rapist, murderer, and cubnapper, that strikes me as pretty evil.

      1. Cannibal, you left off cannibal. His preferred meat is other people preferably fresh killed.

    2. Heheh. I’m gonna wait and see what Rama does next. No matter what, these fox are mooks. They were hired only to take point and take hits for the “team”.

  6. Well let’s see, there’s a few possibilities. 1) Providence wants to punish you, 2) They’re elites, 3) More importantly those genes are backed up by practice, 4) More practice, 5) Oh did we mention practice with advice from skilled teachers? I’d say it’s the 10,000 hour effect. You can hit 10,000 hours of deliberate practice at a young age if you start as soon as you’re physically able to start.

  7. I don’t think they recieved so much training so far… or at least, we weren’t shown. I always thought this here would lead to them going to train for Ramas reaccurance.

  8. I love Kel’s ‘Come get some’ look. 😉

    1. I thought he was about to yawn at them… 🙂

  9. It’s pretty clear that the Red didn’t get the full, updated intel report.

  10. So, even the cubs are as effective fighters as Kratos on steroids.

While it’s not bad showcasing them as badass, it really takes all the tension out of any fight scene now. I mean, makes no sense to root for the guys who you know will effortlessly MDK their way through anyone…

    1. Who said the cubs would effortlessly beat ALL the foxes? Being an elite and being skilled only mean so much when you’re outnumbered.

And who said the foxes don’t have backup or ranged weapons? Quinn did mention there was a Sirac hanging around not too long ago…

  11. How can WHO be so skilled? One has a bo staff but hasn’t used it yet, one has a freakin’ ROCK, and the other one is naturally a fighter (she does it every day to Darius), and is even more dangerous due to being on horseback and having a freakin’ not-so-heavy but perfectly efficient FLAIL. Maybe you guys just suck at close combat? Plus, claws don’t go very far against weapons involving long poles, throwable bludgeons, and horseback fighters. They’re not long and deadly enough!

  12. “How can they be so skilled?”
    “FUS ROH DAH!”
    “Okay, that explains it.”
