Darrik’s getting KO’s by his own power first time he used it kinda could be expected. It’s not like he’s trained with this power so he probably inadvertently put all his energy into one uncontrolled blast, passing out as a result and making the horse even angrier! On the other hand the shock of being able to do that could have made him faint….. But I’m going with exhaustion because of that face, which is priceless! Going from all powerful looking one moment to a mixture of terror and exhaustion the next!
Seems more like Darrik got stuck in some kind of trance for the moment, that blast must have taken quite a bit of his energy.
And if the horse wasn’t angry before it certainly will be now…
Oh that horsie looks very angry now! Notice the “angry eye” in the last panel. The best place to be is out of reach.
Darrik is exhausted, otherwise he’d be panting instead of lying there with his tongue hanging out. Sean used the same ability in No Angel and it tired him out. Sean actually had a decent amount of training, so I’m with RNcoyote and Stray on this one.
Darrik has fried his circuits. Someone better hurry and pick him up. It would seem that his energy bolt has only knocked the horse over. Darrik is going to feel like he hasn’t eaten in days. It reminds me of what happened to Lucas way back when he was annoying Cisco with his ability to control gravity
his eyes have dialated wolfgang……and to be fair magic is a form of energy like electricity….or at least thats my theory….so i guess since hes not used to it he felt the magic…as you said….”fry him”….well thas what i think….dont know..well find out
