I sometimes wonder how my Cyanobacteria and E. coli stock cultures feel like when I pull them out of the -80C freezer and drop them onto a room temperature petridish. I add glycerol to keep them from dying in the cold, but I’m sure they’d empathize with Syrys if they had the brains for it.

Yes, it is. I realized while inking that oh .. I normally draw animals anatomically correct .. but I don’t want to suddenly startle people with this one due to positioning.
