If Filaire doesn’t get her artillery raccoon back in the fight real soon, she will need to be *REALLY* quick about getting herself into someplace Celina’s horse can’t follow. Otherwise, that body armor isn’t going to save her.
Filaire may have gotten a shock at events, but she is much too experienced to get ridden down by Celina. Celina has been trained in fighting; Filaire is a trained and experienced killer.

Agreed, but Darius is who knows how many miles away. Unless he can get his horse back to the clearing soon, there might not be a fight for him to join. Tracking them down, if the cubs get captured, would be the most likely course of action for a skilled tracker like Darius.
Darius is the only one who’s fought OPENLY. So Filaire doesn’t know about Sheana sparring with the other cubs. Or Kel’s Poke Of Doom (TM). Although Filaire probably is getting a clue on how good Celina is in a fight. Either that, or Rama’s mooks aren’t that good at fighting.
Also, if Kamden isn’t knocked out, things will get ugly. We also don’t know when Rama is going to arrive. And there’s the chance that there are more allies hidden in the woods.
Also, I wonder if Rama ended up teaming up with Dior or if Marion’s scheme (Last seen in Akaelae) is an entirely separate problem for Syrys and the other cubs to deal with.
And Sheana, though being useful for a brief moment, gets rid of her only valid defense… Anyway, I like how the guy falls over. Why the ground under him is glowing I doubt I’ll ever know, but the way he falls over makes him look more like a statue that randomly flipped upside-down! XD

Apparently, “Rock” also beats Siracs, telepaths and other psychic entities. This just proves the old maxim that “Incoming Fire has the Right of Way.”.
Also, I like Celina’s new Cavalry Saber. She too seems to have a special “stick”. Although I’m pretty sure she’s had hers longer than Darius.
