  1. Uhoh, one never want to hear a little girl yell something like that. XD

  2. When all else fails, kick and scream until you get what you want >.>

  3. I know I shouldn’t have to say this, but I will anyway. Because I’m paranoid on certain occasions. Please, for the love of all that is holy, don’t have the response be “Who’s your Daddy?”

I love how the whole crux of the issue is the (not so) little girl saying “I want the pretty pony! He’s MINE!”

  4. But you have to remember is who her dady is, i have a feeling that someone is going to be very, very sory for crossing Silver.
When a princess yells I’ll tell my daddy, you know you are in for it.
If her *daddy* is within an earshot….well you get the picture.

What they need is for Syrys and the others to suddenly appear out of nowhere, Somehow, i don’t think Syrys, and the others wanted that horse dead.

Although we don’t know who hired this bounty hunter, i could have been anyone

  5. Exactly. And if it was someone working AGAINST her father… well, Silver might have just gotten herself into a boatload of trouble.

But I find it highly amusing to see Silver reacting like that… I never thought of her behaving somewhat like a spoiled brat in her youth.

  6. Even an eerier thought…Notice she didn’t say MY daddy…. She wouldn’t happen to be related to the spooky vixen, would she?

  7. I’m a bit confused about the angle…Is she climbing out of the hole, or is she trying to climb onto a rock to get closer to the exit?

  8. Uh Oh!! Silver just played the spoiled royal brat card. Look out. If the bounty hunter vixen knows who Silver is, she knows there’s trouble in that card. If not, she will find out.

  9. Typical spoiled brat method……..What would be great, is if the bounty hunter responds with “Like I care!”

  10. I’m thinking they’re related, could be wrong, but I agree with Hortmage here.

  11. They might be related, but without genetic testing there is no way to tell for sure

  12. Honestly, I’m expecting that right about now, that horse is in some serious dutch. I’m thoroughly expecting the poor thing to go ker-splodey under the hunter, like some less-gross version of something out of Watchmen or Full Metal Alchemist, with the kids VERY disappointed. This one seems pretty uncaring about a bunch of kids preventing her (at least I /think/ it’s a her) from getting paid.

“I WANT IT!” might be a little more clever than many are giving credit – the bounty hunter is doing this for money, so Silver’s essentially trying to out-bid the hunter’s contract, or the standing bounty on the horse, whichever it is.

Of course, being some randomly encountered kid in the woods, the bounty hunter prolly doesn’t imagine the cub’s allowance could be large enough to warrant her attention. When it’s revealed who daddy is, she’ll prolly be seeing dollar signs at the prospect of rescuing some well-off cubs, even if she was going to do it anyway – which may or may not help the horse.

Let’s just hope taking them to the clearing was for their own good, and not for holding while they investigated ransom prospects(‘course, pissing off the local authorities like that would be bad for business, so I doubt it).

  14. W00t update!

  15. I’m not sure how much of a threat to consider her. Cause sure she’s a bounty hunter, but there’s also the fact that she appears to be a black fox to be taken into consideration.

So at the very least the fox government probably isn’t anything to worry about right?

  16. I don’t believe that Silver is related to our unfriendly bounty hunter here. Her father stayed behind and her mother returned to her father when Silver was left with the mounties.

Oh, and she IS a spoiled brat. It says so in the Shivaewiki description of Gralen Cragg Hall. Unfortunately, the Shivaewiki is down right now so I can’t quote the text exactly.

An odd, horrible and horribly funny thought of a potential reaction to my first comment on this page just occurred to me. I’ll wait and see if that thought/prediction comes true.

  17. And this is exactly the final trump card I would expect Silver to toss out. A role she was born to play. Whether the technomage knows who she is or not, Silver’s next play will be to elucidate exactly who “Daddy” is, and then the bidding war will be on. Unless, the mage is one of those who value honor over lucre.

Hear me out: the reputation for completing contracts and not shafting clients may be more important to her (and the technomage IS a she: male foxes do not have breasts, and I notice these things) career than a one time payoff.

At least there will not be a “My Little Pony” joke at our expense….

  18. KHGV Defenestration

There’s always the possibility that the bounty hunter isn’t operating under contract, and there is instead an open bounty on the horse(as I imagine isn’t uncommon for dangerous or troublesome wildlife, atleast of the non-native variety – we do it iRL). In which case it’s just a target of opportunity and an easy pay day.

If it is a contract, and the hunter is professional enough to value her reputation, royal fiat is prolly the horsie’s only hope. Otherwise, well, I do hear they make good eating, properly prepared. 😀
