  1. No time for discussions. Time to leave.

  2. So, are The Boys dead or just severely knocked out? Have you even checked?? And what about Rama?

    1. They’re all probably knocked out. And given that Filaire does know about the bombs, she probably doesn’t want to take the time to check.

Plus, if they stay and check, there’s that much more chance that Rama and his sons will wake up at the wrong time and make things worse again.

      1. She probably should have picked up her knives again and -quickly- made sure of the boys before ever going over to Vincent. Definitely not “honorable” but they were threatening her life. Add Rama to that making sure too.

  3. Filair seems to have an unpleasent feeling about being recognized as the former villain.

    1. hehe, she’s got that: “….. really?” look on her face.

      1. Her face says to me “Ah right, he remembers who cubnapped him…”

        1. Filaire didn’t ever cubnap Vincent. Rama “convinced” Vincent to come along. Filaire cubnapped Sheana, Celina, and Kel and did pretty much the same thing to Darrik in Akaelae.

  4. Whooot! I called it! Vin doesn’t even realize it was his doings!

  5. Huh, he appeared lucid when he cast the bolts. The power suppressed his consciousness and itself took conscious action? That’s kinda scary.

  6. P.S. Come on people; VOTE! It’s easy to get above the 265 Rank!

(Assuming this is a standard TWC voting tool; it does look like one.)

  7. “Yes, I am that vixen, and you are the chosen one.” I can so see this happening right now. Why isn’t it that the person does something like he did and he just becomes a really good wizard or something instead of some kind of hero? Just once, I want to see the story’s “hero” just become an amazing and well-revered magician or something instead of actually being a hero.

    1. Well, all of the cubs are special. Either by genetics and birth for the wolves (Darius and the others), or by genetics and design for the other cubs. (Quinn, Collin, Chatin, Cilke.)

Plus, they’re members of a very rich and powerful family, who have enemies that they have to protect themselves from as well as protecting others from those enemies.

It stands to reason that they’d develop into leaders and fighters, though I’m not sure “heroes” will apply to them so well.
