  1. Poor Darius. He’s outnumbered, out gunned and has to make what will likely be one of the most difficult decisions of his life. It’s either time to man up or time to exercise the better part of valor. I’m just not sure which one it is.

  2. It is the end times! The end times I say!
Darius is actually thinking about what to do next. The end of days indeed.

  3. Time to do it Solid Snake time!

    1. It may be Solid Snake time, but where’s he going to find a cardboard box in the woods? But yeah, poor guy, either choice will be an uncomfortable one.

  4. Actually, it’s about time Darius started to think things through. This is what makes him a great leader, the fact that he can think, if he tries. It’s just that his jump into danger nature usually takes precedence over his mind. Kudos on a magnificent strip.

  5. This WOULD

  6. This WOULD be Solid Snake time. If Solid Snake was around. He is not.

THIS is the time when good decisions will be made. Or bad ones.

Tune in next week to find out. Same Darius time, Same Darius channel.

  7. Hey there Tiff! I have a ‘Easter Egg’ if you’re interested.
Unfortunately I lost you e-mail address. If you could bounce
message to me, I can send it to you!

  8. wow, For some reason this page makes Darius look a lot younger to me than the previous pages had.. I know he is much younger here, but there has always been plenty of angles where he really doesn’t look that much younger.

    1. Something that I’ve only recently discovered myself in the last couple of years – I change my art style to reflect the mood of the comic. Sometimes more drastically than others. When Darius is feeling confident, he looks older and is drawn older. When he’s like this, feeling small and stressed, he looks younger. It’s subtle. Just a few lines shifted here and there, eyes larger, etc.. I just draw to match the mood. I don’t keep track of what I’m doing.

      1. I think for this panel, at least, second frame, his eyes are quite a bit bigger, more square, a bit lower on his face, as well as a larger head in proportion to his body. In the third panel, a quickly noticeable difference is what some would term as his mane.. the amount of fur around his chin, throat area, around to the back below his ears. There’s a lot less of it, making his neck a lot more evident, making him look younger, thinner. Older furs would have more of a mane, and less neck.

  9. Wait, you mean Celina has never used her stick on him, despite the apparently large number of times she’s tried to maul him? And he’s never used something to defend himself against her? WOW.

    1. Of course not, Celina doesn’t want to actually injure Darius, just beat some sense into him. The fact that Darius didn’t fight back in the one instance we saw him in shows that Celina never wants to do any damage.
There’s also the fact that attacking with a weapon would get Celina locked up. Attacking with a weapon is much more likely to kill or severely injure the one being attacked than attacking with bare hands so it’s often treated as a much more severe offense in any law code.
