It doesn’t help that Rama’s using half truths to make himself look better. Or maybe they’re outright lies. I’m not sure either way.
The most successful lies usually contain a large measure of truth.

It just occurred to me. The only omission here might be the fact that the Akaelaes were trying to arrest Rama for his crimes.
Including the rape of Noiya, Vin’s Mother, among other assorted crimes.

Except that Darth Vader eventually found redemption.
