Just because he was in cryosleep doesn’t mean his body will be cold-adapted. Essentially, cryo is a form of drug- and cryogenically-aided hibernation. Aside from all the chemicals it likely dumped into his bloodstream in order to prevent short- and long-term tissue damage, there’s the rest of whatever vile cocktail it is comprised of which essentially keeps the person in what amounts to the equivalent of a medically-induced coma. No matter what, this is pretty much guaranteed to mess with your body chemistry and hormone count. It’s highly doubtful it would provoke a growth in of winter fur, or for that matter breed a tolerance for cold.
It is more likely that he is simply a very tough individual, in all truth, and prior to being captured might have already been ready for winter.
Of course, these are my thoughts on things, and they could be completely wrong, depending upon what way Tiff chooses to go.

considering that they are covered in fur it must be very cold

They haven’t been outside yet. They haven’t had time to grow out their winter coats. Under all that cold weather gear, they’re all dressed for summer.

And yes, he was captured in winter and has a supercharged healing ability, so cold is nothing to him.
