An image I’ve had in mind for awhile – featuring Darius as a cub getting into trouble.  Yes, it’s inspired by something my daughter has done, the drawing on the walls with that expression when caught, although she never wrote I Love You on the wall – scribbles and her name in chalk, yes. 😀

This watercolor is done with a mix of shimmering watercolors and copic markers.  The primary colors and wall drawings are all shimmery when you look at them, like metallic paint.  Other highlights that did not scan in well were added with copics to Darius’ fur.  This scan has been adjusted as close to the original as I can get it, but the original has brighter, richer colors and just looks nicer all the way around.  This piece is on a 4 x 6 piece of 140 lb cold press Strathmore watercolor postcard paper.
