Heh. Darrik looks almost like Syrys in that last panel. If I had stopped to think about that beforehand, I’m sure I would have concluded that it was impossible.
Ah, well. Here’s to the impossible that is, in fact, possible!
Interesting. One has to winder why cubs were not invited to a cub festival. I’m wondering if this is a matter of socio-economics, or whether it is some form of other discrimination, or simply a mistake. I sincerely do not think it would be malice, as thus far much of Cyantian society seems to have a slightly more well-thought-out and logical bent than comparable human societies, most likely due to having their civilization essentially handed them as opposed to naturally evolving from tribal roots. Thus much of the social contradictions that occur in human societies are weeded out. This, plus having a significantly more limited cultural diversity as opposed to humankind (perhaps 10, maybe as many as 20 Cyantian specific cultures, as opposed to some 650 or so on Earth.)

I’m interesting to find out the implications of this, I’ve never heard of or been to a festival that requires inviting.

Darrik has still not learned one does not pull on, or paw other’s tails.
Classism exists everywhere it seems.
Akaelae is the first Cyantian Chronicles comic I’m serializing in a rewritten, text version. You can read it on Kindle Vella OR via Patreon.
