Is it just me, or are there ominous shadows in the ally in the last panel?
Also, has anyone tried the new forum. I tried posting a broken link that I found, but I’m not sure if it posted (I posted it in the “Shivae Site Upgrades” thread). Other than that, I like how the new site is looking so far.
I think I’ll sum up the last panel.
Identical blissful expressions + possible ominous trouble = 769.76
*scratches head and checks calculations*
Oh. That number stands for the number of things that could go wrong three seconds from now.
The worst of them involve Darrik’s “talent” overloading, and right behind it, Quinn showing up.
Hmm, neither Silver nor Tira were in the group that went back to the rooms, and those shadows in the alley do look rather foxy. Darrik stalkage anyone? I could see Silver doing it just just for fun and curiosity, though Tira of course has additional reasons.
The shadows do appear a bit vulpine, but it’s really hard to tell for sure. It could be that some of the girls got curious and decided to see what he was up to, or it may be something else. I briefly thought it could be something sinister, but then realized that 1) Darrik is kind of an anonymous person as of yet, and 2) Darrik is in disguise anyway.
A thought does occur that it may be the other cubs’ parents checking on them or something, but I’m kind of leaning toward some of the others just snooping on Darrik.
And it has slowly dawned on me that the snoopers may make an appearance and scare the snot out of Darrik’s unsuspecting new friends and/or awe them with their status/power. (He has been hanging out with the royal family, after all.)
@Stray: actually, for Derrik, a market probably is rather exciting. Lots of neat stuff, lots more and better food (and a lot cheaper than the carnival for sure), lots of people and things to see. He couldn’t have freely gone out to markets on Earth (that whole pesky “not being human” thing) – and after getting Shanghaied to Cyantia, he was just trying to hide and scavenging where he could — since then he’s been holed up and hidden in the Akaelae Towers. So this is his first chance to do some “normal” things.
No, it’s not that the cubs lost their eyes… It’s a bout of Happy Eyelids Disease! Which is harmless, as long as it doesn’t lead to Eyes Always Shut Disease.
I think the shadows are shadows of friends, but I don’t think they’re gauche enough to flaunt their status just to impress a couple of cubs. After all, Darius isn’t along for the trip.
@xenomorph: Your not the only one who thinks that! I doubt people would recognize who my avatar is at first glace, I kinda had fun playing with the image. His fur was originally white. lol
Anywho back to being on topic…ish
@tiggertoo: That is true, I just found it funny how not only him but all three of them got the happy faces, especially Biely (He [I think] looks like he could explode with elation), when Darrik asked them to show him the market.
In regards to my avatar, I’m fairly certain it is. I nabbed a pic off image shack and cropped it to a cute avatar. 🙂
I often use that other one I had up, though, it was a character of my own that I drew. The blue fox was kind of a spur of the moment “Oh, that would make a cute avatar” *makes avatar* sort of thing.
If I were a better artist, I’d have a whole array of my own drawings to swap between for avatars. 😛
