Kimberly starts First grade today!  Thus.. I was a bit busier than normal last week and only got the title page completed.  The actual chapter will start NEXT Monday and hopefully will soon update M-F.  I'll also be getting to Genoworks Saga - d'oh!! - Tiffany Ross

  1. Darius looks very bored here.
Nice job with the griffin-type critter there.

  2. Doing his best to get ‘lost’ from the group…again. 😉

  3. now, if that horse gets spooked…

  4. Yeah, that’s an arrogant way to ride a horse. But, it fits Darius very well.

  5. It would be very difficult to ride a horse like that. You would slide off very easily and have a nasty spill.

  6. I fully agree with Flowerlark. My mom’s a horse fanatic and I’ve picked up a few things about horses here and there. From what I understand, horses tend to shift their weight around a lot when they walk, left and right, left and right… They don’t bounce as much as when they trot, but still.

Granted, I have seen a ‘dance’ where people balanced on horses, which were going in circles, probably cantering, without saddles or anything. But the horses were big (Friesian) and I’m pretty sure the dancers had a lot of practice and training.

  7. Except that he’s on a horse with a saddle that has saddle bags on both sides and is also laying on a cushy bedroll. 🙂 And also has his left foot hooked over the front of the saddle, so that he’s pretty much holding on with his legs. I’ve ridden plenty of horses and have laid back on them like that, but I’d never do it without keeping my feet in the stirrups. 😀

  8. I still say it fits Darius perfectly.

  9. I’ve never been bold enough to ride as horse that way. But I ride English which has smaller saddles and a lot more ‘proper riding’ rules than western.

  10. I has a mount.

  11. I’ve been too busy to check in regularly during the last months, but is the ShivaeWiki (still) down?

    1. I haven’t had a moment of free time to put it back up yet.

  12. i love comics like this,. mostly cause they are just fun to read!
