I not sure why but for some reason this all seems familiar to me. I don’t recall having read this before but I’ve got that weird sense of deja-vu. Maybe its the beginnings of Alzheimer’s syndrome. 😛
I don’t know, I’m a relatively new reader and I felt deja vu the first time I read this too. Then again, this and Gralen Cragg were the last two Cyantian comics I read, so I could be feeling deja vu about various things mentioned in Sink or Swim and Campus Safari.
“Half of our training classes are not old enough to be sold.” Okay, so various things show she does have some concern for the kids, but this is one of those lines that keeps me from having much sympathy for her.
And this portion of events was previously available as a Satin & Silk prequel. It should be interesting to see if we get new details. Happy to see it coming again as this has been one of my favorite parts of the story.

She’s rewriting the prequil to Akaelae, and adding quite a bit she hadn’t done ealier, so that is probably why it seems familiar.
