You know, I’ve been wondering about that for a while — everyone so far has seemed OK with Darrik as a gold fox, and I’ve been wondering why. Of course, most of the people he deals with regularly know he’s really a black fox — but the population there at GCH have no idea. The gold foxes are the chief enforcers, knee breakers, general bully boys and girls, and lately elite cub murderers for whoever is at the top of the heap in the Fox territories – and have been for many generations — and in this last coup did most of the genocidal elimination of the various elite lines and extermination of the “legitimate” royal line (though truth to tell, the Fox royals have been a nasty lot for a long time, regardless of who is on top). I’m rather surprised that Darrik’s new friends took up with him – and further that their parents didn’t put a polite stop to it one way or the other. Gold on a fox is kinda like the bright colors on a poison dart frog – you stay the heck away.

Heh, Hrliss looks like he just had an “insert foot into mouth” moment. I cannot, for the life of me remember, how to spell the French saying thing. My memory is a bit shot tonight. I’ll remember how to spell it in the morning.
Anyway I suppose Darriks new friends ignore his fur color because they’re from a society where gold fox aren’t a thread. They certainly don’t seem to care and I guess they’re more curious about who gave him that haircut.
Of course by now they’re probably wondering just how they got in the presence of royality and if they’re worth the trouble this is gonna cause.
Unfortunately, putting a good number of his paws in his mouth, is quite in character for the poor guy.
Yes, he is a Winged Tigertaur, four paws and two hands. And to a normal Cyantian, he would most likely be pretty large. (Artistic license is expected form the owner of a universe, so I am finding out some things at the same time everyone else is.)
