4. Quinn smiling, right in his face: Oh, but you'd miss out on the fun, Vin! β—‹ Vincent scowling: Quinn, I do not want to go. I didn't want to go in the first place. 5. Quinn looking sweet: You ARE going to let us go out there by ourselves?

  1. That little beast, moving to skew with his morality judgments and posing two evils against each other to convince him of something that even she knows she would get her tail bitten off for.

  2. Testing avatar..

  3. Heh, poor Vin, he doesn’t have a chance. Quinn is a force of nature. Not even Collin stands a chance against her. πŸ™‚

  4. Damnit…how old is she? this young and she knows all the females tricks…

Oh right, it’s Quinn, what else should I’ve been expecting?

  5. Nice…. πŸ˜€

Quinn’s hair looks so pretty in the first panel!

  6. Wow… quin is one evil little minx when she wants to be…

  7. Vin, no! It’s a trick! Don’t look in her eyes!

  8. I want Vin to snarl “yeees” and walk away. Quinn is a very annoying character.

  9. Then he’d be on guilt trip and force himself back to the girls and Quinn with a smug expression on her face.

  10. I think only Pip and Wildy of Dan and Mab’s Furry Adventures can match the head games that Quinn can play.

As I’ve said before, it was too late the moment they started to eavesdrop. Actually, it was too late the moment Quinn noticed them.

  11. Ouch, talk about brutal manipulation.

  12. brutal? no, subtle! more or less…

  13. Wow, her eyes look rather hypnotic.
Actually, I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s what they are.

  14. Look, if I say I think it’s brutal then I think it’s brutal, just because something is subtle doesn’t mean it’s not brutal either.

I’m really rooting for him to stand up for himself though, given how displeased he looks about being pushed into something he really doesn’t want to do.

There is a hole in her twisting though, and that’s the fact that they were going before anyway so they must not think it’s that dangerous or care if they think it is, and as far as their safety goes, it’s probably reasonable to believe saying yes and telling some adults will result in more safety, than saying no and going with them.

  15. I would say brutal is forcing someone, not persuading this person, which would be subtle.

and he wont get away – he’s a gentleman (I hope he is). and it would make a much better story…

  16. Well she’s being brutally subtle then =P Poor Vin doesn’t stand a chance =(

  17. I think Lorenith means Quinn’s doing both; she’s forcefully persuading Vin.

  18. Yeah, it helps to understand that being brutal/vicious does not automatically disqualify something from being subversive or subtle. They often come hand in hand as far as being effective.

I’m having a kneejerk moment of not liking Quinn right now, normally I’m pretty neutral to her behavior, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen her all out manipulate/guilt someone into doing what she wants them to do against their will.

  19. In the last panel:
Either thats the most convincing “Puppy Face” I’ve ever seen, or Quinn iz playing with their minds to her way. πŸ™‚

  20. Blarg! no fair! Hypnovision!

  21. I’d say Quinn is just that good at puppy eyes. She can read minds, so she’s undoubtedly been able to read when her puppy face is the most effective. Thus, she has an excessively polished puppy dog stare.

Quinn being able to protect herself/sense trouble coming was already lampshaded not only shortly before they entered the tunnel, but also in Puppet Strings, where Quinn tossed Collin around a sparring mat.

  22. I’d just have to note that Quinn is being completely honest in wanting them to come for fun. πŸ˜‰

  23. Well of course she is. She’s Quinn, she always wants everybody to be happy.

  24. Yes, Vin. You are going to let them go outside on their own.

    What am I saying….

  25. Of course Quinn wants them along. She can hop into another universe if there is trouble, and can’t seem to get it through that they cannot. She is Quinn: a Universal Force who just happens to be cute.

  26. Quinn’s Wiki description describes her as the “Mother of Good Intentions gone awry.”. I’ve got a sneaking suspicion that Quinn’s (sincere, if underhanded) want for the boys to have fun falls under the heading of “Good Intentions” and that said good intentions might be in the process of having “Gone Awry”. Or perhaps they’re in the process of becoming unforgettable fun. πŸ˜‰ One never knows.

I wonder if the mysterious noise maker that was following Darrik is about to pop up?

  27. I’m wondering what will Darrik do? Is he gong to ran away by himself or to faint because his face is a little bit “confused”?

  28. KHGV Defenestration

Evaluation: Quinn and Silver have both demonstrated/hinted at skillsets far more applicable to the proposed activities than what the boys may have – indeed, they’d seem more a liability to have along, especially given their obvious reluctance. Based on this and willful guilt-based manipulation drawing their moral character into question, it is possible, if not probable, that they’re trying to drag the two strangers along to serve as meat shields should something go wrong, allowing the girls to better make good their escape.

Besides, Quinn’s phasing/flight could probably get herself and Silver to safty if things hit the fan and there was real danger; in this the boys are a real liability

Or so would be my thoughts in their position, without knowledge of Quinn’s character.

“Let you go out there alone? Why no, of course not! GUARDS! Take them away!” πŸ˜€ πŸ‘Ώ

Also, Quinn is being insidious and manipulative, but Vin and Darrik probably know exactly what she’s doing, even if they can’t bring themselves to turn around and go back. It’s actually about as subtle as brick wall to the face. πŸ˜‰

  29. Is she using mind control? What’s with the green eyes and matching background? And I LOVE how she’s making them sound like ungentlemanly wimps!

    1. If by “mind control” you mean “puppy dog eyes”, yes.
