Yeah, I’d say Silver is using The Quinn Distraction to get the heck out of Dodge – after all, Quinn can find them wherever they are. Quinn is probably just waiting until our young guard looks away for a moment to vanish – not that she needs to wait, it’s just more amusing that way. Great action pose for Silver BTW.
Mmmm… think they are going to help Quinn. Cubs are cubs 🙂 They are curious, they’re afraid for Quinn in spite of her powers and if the sentinel knows about them, and tell the rest about their little adventure they will be into a big problem with grounups. I think they are going to negotiate… or jump at him 😀
Pointing a sword towards Quinn may be a bad idea when the three of them arrive. Darrik and Vin might at last stop to think but Silver will be there first.
On holding a sword out with your arm fully extended, it isn’t much better than the same with a knife – it’s an amateurish move only useful if you’re trying to intimidate someone(who doesn’t know that holding the sword arm out like that is stupid and a sign of an amateur). It might stop something from jumping you, psychologically, but if it does, your weapon is poorly braced to take the impact, compensate if they feint and try to come in around it, or worse yet, bat it aside and grab your sword arm, disarming you and taking your weapon. Better to keep it close where you have tighter control and are far less exposed.
If he’s had even basic instruction and is thinking, it shows he doesn’t consider Quinn a threat, and is probably waving the sword about to assert his authority. Which, based on today’s comic, seems to be the case.
And I agree that they’re probably headed to Quinn’s defence(or atleast to investigate) – unless there’s more going on on their side of things that hasn’t been seen yet, it would seem out of character.
Also agree with typhoon’s point, pun not intended.
If they’ve only heard the scream (which was only a short conversation ago, after all), they’re probably headed in to see what’s going on. If they’ve seen what’s going on, they’re probably headed away. While Darrik and Vin might be inclined to help Quinn, Silver knows her far better and knows no help is needed (and would mess up Quinn’s fun anyway).
I think Quinn might have found the mysterious watcher from not too long ago. How else would Chythar know that Quinn is out with her friends right now? Well, barring a bluff to see if she IS out with friends and if she can be intimidated into revealing them.
Now, based on the boy’s expression, and that they’re looking in the direction Silver is urging them, I suspect they’re heading toward Quinn. If they were headed away, you’d think atleast one of them would be looking back.
Darrik also looks like he’s just standing there, so this might have been a backstep to just after the scream. Alternatively, they could be overlooking Quinn’s position and reacting to Chy’s words, but between Silver’s pose and words, that seems less than probable, unless they just got there.
Hurm. Looking at recent backgrounds, I’d say it’s fairly probable they’re either overlooking Quinn’s position, or about to reach such a position.
I’d assume its Iris i think thats the name…. I already forgot…. And based on physical stances i have to mostly agree with KHGV.
However looking at their suroundings… I’d have to say away and they’re about to start running away. In the distance you can see trees yet in the previous panels with Quinn and the panthers there are no visible trees, even in the distance. Vin and Darik are both still standing. With one of them you can see that his hair isn’t being affected by air flow. So there’s no wind and he’s in a relatively stationary position. Silver’s hair shows movement. So i say that they overheard the previous conversation. Lets face it they’re wolves and foxes, they have better hearing then us.
