Meh, she’s just stalling for time — the longer she holds him there, the further away the others can get. Quinn can vanish any time she wants to (though I still think she’ll wait until he glances off to poof — just for her own amusement).
Yeah she’s playing the distraction right now. I don’t know which she’d find more amusing though, poofing off while he’s looking so she can see his face, or while he’s not looking so she can hear him yelling into the night from far away.
Quinn’s face here is awesome. Great logical manipulation.
@Gmwolf, I guess maybe Mounties are a lot stronger than Humans, or his sword is very lightweight, or maybe he is tired but doesn’t want to let Quinn know he’s tired.
@Ben, I don’t think she’s “trying” anything. It looks to me like she’s already weaseled her way out, Chy just doesn’t realize it yet.
@Gmwolf – I know that holding a sword out like that does get tiring, bu also keep in mind that he has been pointing that sword at her for only a matter of seconds in terms of chronological time within the comic. Likely 20-30 by now, sure, but even so. and there’s what Sirbacon said, Mounties may just be stronger than humans or the other suggestions.

Oh yes Quinn does seem to like playing the mind games with people. Nice job spike of giving her that playful yet calculative pose in the last panel.

His arm is not tired of holding the sword 😮 !? Swords are usually heavier to stand so long holding them with your arm extended… I tell by experience 🙂
