  1. Hmmmm…no real control surfaces it seems on the pods and there is a lot of detail on them.

They look nice and all, but how do you control them? Or perhaps, I should ask if this has any connection to the two headed tiger in the sink and swim story tangent?

The tech looks a lot different, but it seems to have gotten a lot of Quin’s attention. I’ve always wonder how Quin would react to meeting another person like what Ash and Richo scene in that pod?

  2. Quinn’s thoughts: “I wonder why you’re all here, mysterious people.”

Darius’ thoughts: “Let’s get out of here before something bad happens!”

    The RoboBees thoughts: “WorkWorkWorkWorkWorkWorkWork…”

My thoughts? “Quinn looks very inquisitive in panel two.”

    1. You sure about what the bees are thinking?

I was thinking along the lines of, “The yellow zone is for the loading and unloading of bodies too pods only! Their is no hovering in place in the yellow zone!”.

      1. *Chuckles.*

“Drone number 11010111, you have a call on the white courtesy phone.”

    2. They both have very nicely done expressions. Quinn’s curiosity, and Darius’ wariness would be just as obvious without the speech bubble. 🙂

  3. Drone number 0100110001 to Darius: “Famous last words.”

  4. Hrmm… No obvious controls implies a few things and possibilities: a) might be controlled from a centralized point as opposed to having local overrides. b) could be a form of smartmatter, one answerable to locally-sent wireless signals, essentially rendering each cell locally-controllable by someone/thing equipped with the right form of send/receive system (the obvious thought would be cybernetics (not necessarily overt) but equally-possible answerable to scanned-for mental patterns or sent thoughts, or even buried telekinetically-actuated controls, ranging from something literally at the molecular level (rediculously fine TK control) to overt stuff just behind walls.

  5. Curiosity, the Raccoon’s natural addiction.

  6. It’s the one thing I hate about piece by piece comics like this.

I’m beginning to wonder if Darius will ever be white again. But if it were a full comic book, I doubt I would.

(Don’t worry. I’m still enjoying it a lot.)
