Hmm, that thing looks a little like some kind of crocodile/alligator in my opinion. Not sure which. And if so, I’d guess that our two brave (if lacking in the forethought department) heroes might be lunch if they don’t pull something off in about 0.3 seconds.
And as for those who say it may be a friendly monster type, wouldn’t surprise me. More likely, though, I think it has some reason for attacking them that is not what it seems at first. I’m thinking back to the “Demon Horse” incident.
