Someone is obviously coming down the hall. Possibly Filiare. If she really believes against the kind of cannibalism Rama had planned for the Lapin, maybe perhaps she would have some intention of “managing” the situation in such a way as to avoid same. No doubt she could prove sufficiently threatening as to convince the two slaves to go along with whatever plan she had. She probably also correctly surmised that Vin would go along with anything that would result in the two not being hurt.
Or it could just be Rama strolling in to give his son pointers on proper “First Night” etiquette. What do you mean he would not do that? He is Rama after all.
Before someone chimes in with “Cyantians are already taught about the birds and bees”, whose bedroom standards do you think Rama cares about: polite Cyantian society, or his own other standard.
I think Rama probably has his own standards he follows besides just that.
But as for Filaire managing this to her own means. Just remember she’s in it it seems for revenge against the lord of the foxes. So while she might find Rama’s taste in children meat vulgar, she’s already thought to herself that her morals mean less to her then the revenge she seeks.
So unless it gets her dagger closer to the throat of her previous employer, she most likely will do as she’s told. But if it doesn’t hurt her goal, she might turn a blind eye to something she notices.

Oh my, I don’t think Rama would be THAT vulgar. Especially not when he probably realizes that Vin is scared of him.
I think you’re right that Kerie realized that someone is coming down the hall. Given the timing and Filaire’s instructions, I think it’s Filaire too.
