I still always think that whomever was to be a voice actress for Quinn would have to have this amazingly chirpy, high, youthful voice that barely sounds like she’s in her late teens, just to convey that sheer exuberance and adorableness that Quinn has.
Re: the current poll- I’m one of the not nice readers thinking Darius shouldn’t keep Curatrix. Sometimes hard lessons and penalties for actions are needed. I often put my own comic characters through sad or traumatic events so they can grow and change. So I’m making that vote more from a fellow writer’s perspective than from an emotional attachment to Darius; I’m not a cold-hearted monster, I swear (well, maybe a little).
There’s something to both sides, and either can be right or wrong, depending on the person, and the follow-up (I.E. the right/wrong conversation or actions after). So I don’t see you as cold-hearted at all. Merely on one side of the debate.
Though if I may, as a writer myself, Curatrix is more or less a character herself. One readers like and don’t want to lose (by any definition). So there is a risk in removing her. But you’re right. We tend to put our characters through the worst and then some. It’s what makes them grow.
