  1. Well, Celina IS doing Darius’ mother Zaeus a favor by doing this.

She’s just enjoying it FAR more than she should. be enjoying it.

  2. Darius no like baths!

  3. Sheana, you have no right to look so shocked!
Did you already forget when /you/ were offering free fur wash (from a hose) to donators? 😛

  4. Why was he the title character again? What did he actually do to resolve the situation?

    1. Because these are the events that shape Darius as a person throughout his life, though he’s not always the hero or the focus.

Darius doesn’t have to be the hero of the story to be the main protagonist or title character. The issue is that most media nowadays does have the main character also be the hero of most every crisis that comes up.

      1. Yup. You’ll see by the end of the story. This is just the beginning.

        1. @Tiff Will there be zombie pinatas in the future arcs?

      2. However, by drawing away from the main character you diminish his/her importance and the fanbase stops caring about the character. This usually ends up with the fanbase looking at the more interesting characters then looking at the “main” character and going “Why do I care about this guy again?”. Darius appeared in a little less than half of the current arc, though realistically he can’t be everywhere at once. Too much important interesting stuff going on in point A, B, and C.

        1. I don’t care if anyone cares, because this is MY story and my favorite character and I will tell it how I want to.

        2. I like how it’s being told.

With all the elements in place for the story, it’s only natural we get to see plot development with other characters as well as Darius in this comic.

We got to see Darius learn something that maybe even Alpha doesn’t know, we got to see why Celina has problems with him even as a grown up. Believe it or not, we got to see a whole lot of Darius in the beggening.

I think a comic artist should draw the story as they see fit and not be constrained by any one method of story telling.

You did good Tiff! You did real good!^^

        3. Sorry Tiff, I didn’t mean to offend or be a pocket nazi and tell you how to write your stories. I have nasty habit of being vague, nondescript, and making almost no sense after 11:00pm. The first part of my post was addressing the majority of comics in general regarding centralization of main characters relative to the plot in whole. If Darius(comic) was completely centralized around Darius much(if not most) of the essential plot-line would have been thrown out, leaving an inferior story. I like Rama, Vincent, Quinn, Filaire, Syrys, Colin, Sheana, and all the Cynatians(and the occasional human) as characters that stand on their own rather than disposable personality staples for Darius to thrown aside randomly. Personally, I would not have changed a damn thing. I love this comic and anything you put to paper.

Also please excuse my bad grammar and circular reasoning.

        4. Plus, the arc isn’t over and the focus just came back to Darius.

The Cyantian Chronicles happens to be my personal favorite comic, and I like the way it’s told.

Yes, it’s Darius’ story. But he doesn’t exist in a vacuum, despite what Celina may think. The events that affect him also affect his friends, family and even people he doesn’t know and may never know.

I like it the way it is and wouldn’t change it for the world.

  5. A hose in this place?

My, my, Celina can be quite resourceful when terrorizing Darius. Bet this is a memory that warms her heart when she sleeps after being annoyed be him. Along with when Darius is paralyzed and left in a bush.

  6. Hush, Sheana; Darius deserves pretty much anything Celina does to him! 🙂 (within reason of course ;-))
