Scratch that, I think there may be a misunderstanding. I was talking about how training like this will be useless in the Centralis-Teraplex War. Especially since I don’t see any smoke grenades, cover, artillery support, or LMGs.
… We still don’t know exactly how the Centralis Teraplex War was fought, exactly, or how long it was. We also don’t know the exact armaments that the invading side had, the range of the engagements, or if either side could use artillery at all.

Sparring against someone who’s centuries older and who has been through multiple wars. The cubs are in for a long uphill battle.
They’ll be grateful for that later, if they ever need that training.

They’re sparring to learn those techniques.
Also, Syrys is several feet taller than them, the cubs are padded, and the cubs have been instructed that they’re to go for body blows.
