That was them “going cold” wasn’t it? If so that’s an interesting way to show/deliver it. Do they always change color when going into it or is that a device to show the reader what’s happening?
I would think touching. From Darius’ face, it reminds me of ‘between’ from the Pern series. Someplace cold, without air, but you’re through it in the time it takes to cough thrice. What I’d like to know is why the Shivae appeared so startled in the prior strip.
You should read Cler’s story. Time was, you could get to the Shivae comics easily enough; and over ten years ago, she was doing both Cler and Akaelae side by side, though I can’t remember what the scheduling was. Anyway, Cler told a good deal of the lore and legends behind Shivae, and what they were like before the world was civilized…though there were still fox who did illicit experiments.

Huh, I had no idea that Shivae could extend their going cold to others. Do they always have to be touching the Shivae, or just be next to them?

There must be comics or something I’ve missed. This is the first I’ve heard of a Shivae “going cold”. I had to look it up! lol.
