Ok, next week there will be M-F updates. The week after that, Akaelae ends and I start updating Genoworks Saga. I am hard at work and I'm also offering commissions. Please see the main site. I am taking five at a time until advertising picks up enough. Normally ... I would continue doing what I have been doing, but after December, with the site being down, I don't have any other choice. December ad revenue normally carries us through the tightest months of the year, Jan/Feb and March. December is normally the best month of the year for obvious reasons. I lost December. That means that right now, just to get by, I'm scrambling to earn $350 to take care of current bills plus the usual groceries and gas. (And for those wondering about my family vacation, that was a gift from our inlaws so we could enjoy Christmas with the entire family.) I am trying very hard to get books done... but I really can't until I get the commissions done. I have Furry Fiesta in February to prepare for as well. Hopefully it does as well as last year and helps us through March. I have books for sale and other things, check Indyplanet for books, the Shivae Store for misc and Lulu for digital offerings. All reachable here. If you want to help me with books... really ... I could use artwork or short stories. I want to have some extras.

  1. “I blame the guy who left that gate there. He’s really a jerk!”

“I blame the moon. It WAS full yesterday.”

“I blame Daddy for not keeping Silver on a leash!”

And I really like the expressions and expressiveness in this update.

  2. Wait… Akaelae is ending?

    ):

Ah well, there are still the other stories to come. ^_^

  3. NOOOO!!

Akaelae can’t end. :’-( But its yours so not my decision 😉

I still waiting for my copy of Genoworks from Indy Planet 😛 I can’t wait to see how that continues.

    Great comic non-the-less 😀

  4. Akaelae, ending? Oh man….
I love the last panel, though.
I don’t think that door will need any repairs. I don’t remember them having anything structual about them.

  5. Akaelae is ending for now. Genoworks Saga will take it’s place until Darius’s Story (Which is part of Akaelae and continues the same storyline, just focusing on Darius.) is scripted and ready to go.

The good news is that last I heard, Genoworks Saga had at least several months of scripts ready to go.

  6. Someone’s paying attention! 😀 That makes me happy. And yes, I have several years worth of GS scripts, but I’m hoping to return to Darius Akaelae’s arc before summer. I’m just not certain if I’ll be doing it in color or black and white at this point.

  7. “Paying Attention” is a habit I got into a while back. It was at a time when the subtle nudgings toward the news posts started to take on the character of a bullhorn and marching band, complete with the “Newsbox this way!” cheerleaders and a flyover by the Blue Angels.

Okay okay, that’s mostly hyperbole, but I’m in a silly mood! ;P

On a different note: Which books are you looking for stories and artwork for? I’m pretty sure you mean the Alien Dice books, but I might have missed something. I also recall you mentioned that some of what you received wouldn’t fit the time frame of the book.

  8. Primarily, but also stuff for Shivae and Akaelae.

  9. Hmmmm. Maybe a back story for Nevix. Perhaps an alternate version of Nevix or one of my other characters for an Alien Dice book.

I’ve already got one idea written down as an oulline. 😀

  10. Saddening that Akalae will be put on hold but the reason for it makes me so very happy, the Genoworks Saga is gunna get some attention now ^^

  11. You know, I’ve been thinking. Darrik says that his family fled for mounty lands and then went through a door to Earth. This indicates that the door was mounty. I’m wondering, did Silver and Safiri go through the same door that Darrik’s family went through, ’cause there’s a very good chance of that. If so, they most likely won’t have problems with the AMIB and actually met Darrik’s family.
