Darrik is definitely a tree fox (at least when Quinn is around). 😀 BTW, gray foxes are extremely good at climbing trees — perhaps a bit of gray fox DNA went into making Cyantian elite black foxes.
I can’t blame Darrik for being hyperjumpy. Considering just what he knows is wandering around outside (and he has to figure that there’s a lot he *doesn’t* know about), I’d be up a tree in a flash if I could too. [I must say, it *is* a very impressive ability — I wonder if he’s getting an instinctive boost from his elite black fox abilities.]
I think he developed this tree climbing ability in the swamps as he was growing up. There are plenty of trees in the swamp we saw him in and climbing a tree is a good way to avoid gators.
“Where’s the fun in that?” is a question that defines Quinn. It is likely at the heart of many of her actions, both now and in later appearances.

Quinn once again scaring Darrik up a tree at a speed that makes light look slow. I seriously think by the end of this comic Darrik is going to develop the ability to tear holes in time and space simply at the thought of Quinn! Vic and Silver are probably thinking something along the lines of “How does he move so fast!?!?!
