Yup. He has officially been brainwashed. Or he’s pulling an Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader and is actually faking the whole thing in such a hardcore fashion that it will be impossible to tell until it’s too late.
And there’s yet another typo in the second speech bubble. It should read “I am merely complimenting her unique appearance.” Sorry to bee such a nit-picker. I should probably go back to enjoying reading the story.
