Since I don't have a full month of extras to do, next week will be a normal update week... because I've already colored two full pages of comics that would normally give six updates and got four out of them. :D One of which.. is today's. I've also colored two full pages of another comic and have to do a THIRD because it had two FULL page updates. :( Really bad timing in how those all happened the same week. Extra updates can still be added. I'll be rolling over the amount from this month into next month's total. It's at $130 short for the month. Six extra updates this month, probably two a week starting the week after this one. Spring Break starts on my birthday. :/ No break for me, which means chasing people away from me all week.. grrr... usually Spring Break is a week later, but they adopted some stupid calendar for the year so they could get out of school earlier. 9.9 Bleah.. rather have them go a week longer into the summer. Next year is a return to the usual calendar which gives me more breathing room. I had an awesome Furry Fiesta, but I've also been exhausted all week from it and a bit slow. I'd done comics at double-time to get ahead so there wouldn't be an interruption! Now I have to do it again to make sure there's no interruption! :D Not having the extra week between is really going to drag on me for awhile. :/ It's fine though... we're down to barebones on everything and Kim's driving us crazy about doing stuff that we can't do. - Tiff

  1. Hmm. I think they just got the news of “DOOM is coming! Its name is Syrys and the army!”

    1. Actually it’s just Strys. The army is there to clean up after him.

      1. Bah! Syrys is tough, but he could probably only clear half of the base by himself.

The backup is there to keep the small fry off his back while he takes care of Rama and the other heavy hitters.

      2. Also: To Everybody:

Darius/The Cyantian Chronicles now has a Vote button at the top of the right sidebar. It’s currently at 853, but I know we can push it higher!

  2. Oh, this is twelve cans of worms.

  3. I love Filaire’s Oh Crap expression. Let this be a lesson to you little Miss Black Knight: You knew that these cubs were very important and under the guardianship of Cyantia’s equivalent to General Patton/Washington. You took them in the Wolves own backyard and they know the terrain. You should have assumed that the Wolves are monitoring them or have ways to track them. You should have kept in mind their high-tech firepower. And you should never assume that your hidey-hole is 100% secure and have contingency plans ready in case your discovered. What kind of leader are you?

  4. Wonder who told Filaire… And… Did she just find out about the incoming attack or the missing Vincent, Melody & Kerie?

  5. Of greater personal import to Filaire would be the missing 3. Surprise attack? Well, there is that word “surprise” in there. Besides, assume Rama, and therefore Filaire, gave some forethought to the possibility. But Rama’s son gone AWOL would not be a career advancement development for foxy.

  6. This vixen is SO screwed.

  7. Wolves on the way, the reason that Rama went to all this trouble missing with the two servants with him, Filaire just finding out one or both of these out and Rama is a sadistic eater of sentient life.

Yeah, I’d start running to hide too. If Rama doesn’t get any strays out in the open to vent on, then Filaire on a tirade might.

  8. I kinda feel sorry for Filaire, just a bit, aaaand, in addition, I think she has one of THE silliest faces when stunned! Heeheehee!

  9. I think Filaire is alarmed at the disappearance of the cubs, and her own accidental falling asleep… or was that a guard?

    1. Nope – hair and helmet/hat make if Filaire to my eyes.

    2. That’s Filaire. Guards were -put- to sleep by Camden, Rama’s pet Sirac, in an attempt to get Filaire into trouble with Rama.

      1. There was no doubt that this is Filaire..

So she’s not shocked she went to sleep, rather, this is her being mad at Camden if he is reporting that they have escaped. I don’t see enough evidence of the invasion.. (from Filaires standpoint) to say she is exclaiming at being invaded.

        1. I’m not so sure that she’s solely reacting to the dissapearance of the cubs. I imagine she would have a glaring look to her eyes with a hint of desperation if she learned they got away. That is, she’s furious at her guards while secretly nervous about the failure reflecting on her. Filaire seems too collected and controlling to fall to pieces at her guards blunder; she’s like a dictator and her default reaction would be fury. She cannot appear weak or easy to shake in front of her men. However that’s not the case here: She’s clearly feeling nothing but panic and horror. The news that a huge enemy force is on the way would undoubtably do that especially when you take into account Rama’s forces might not be set up to take on something like what Syrys is bringing into this fight. Rama has covert mercenaries, not assault troopers. Any news of the incoming Wolf forces as reported by that guard would be funneled to Rama straight through Filaire, who seems to be acting as his field commander and thus is in charge of managing his forces. Every overlord needs a general and Filaire, not Kamden, fights this role. And she knows their being invaded because their sentries spotted a Wolf CRUISER on approach and deploying forces (A cruiser in navies, at least on Earth, are stand-ins for battleships whenever a battleship is unavailable, which is frequent.) So while she might very well be aware of the cubs missing, news of an approaching army with heavy support would undoubtedly score higher on her priority list.
