I wouldn’t be surprised if Rama planned on killing them later and is letting Filaire save him the trouble. Hmmm… Since he chose not to take Filaire, but did let her see the bomb in the encampment (like he couldn’t have hidden it better), he may well have set up exactly this situation.
For what gain? Why would Rama plan on killing his two thugs and what would he gain from that? Why would he want to set up this kind of situation? Filaire was loyal and good at her job, it would be a waste to kill her.
If our assumption is correct and those are two of his elder sons…they seem bright enough to follow orders, but not smart enough to lead. Good for the Brute Squad, but never gonna make Dread Pirate Roberts. If what Rama’s after is an heir apparent, Vin’s his better bet and he knows it. But the elder two have probably grown up thinking one or the other of them is next in line. How do you get around that? Get rid of ’em.
Just realized Rama has turned away and is apparently leaving The Boys to it. Hopefully that means he won’t butt in; which should leave Filaire in good shape. 🙂
