I slipped and forgot to update last week's Spider Forest comic of the week, which was Chirault! Why not try out a new comic today? - Tiff, trying to keep up. :(

  1. Now there’s an interesting twist to this chase.

Going potentially against both Collin and Quinn is bad for him, Quinn is the better dream walker. This could get messy in so many ways when you combined them.

  2. Hold on, since when does Collin have wings?

    1. Collin has the wings because that’s how he manifests his power to fly.

He’s a very grounded in reality person, despite being a dimension walker and a dream walker. Thus, when he flies, he has wings.

Quinn, on the other hand, is a bit less grounded in more ways than one.

They actually make a balanced team between Collin’s sensibility and Quinn’s impulsiveness.

      1. It may just be me but I find Quinn’s approach to flying to be more grounded in reality because there is an in-universe precedent to flying without wings. There is no in-universe precedent to suddenly sprouting wings when you want to fly and I can go into several lengthy discussions about the technical challenges of being able to do that.

  3. Heeeee, nice one. Still got the joke in there with a better punchline than previously. I don’t remember Collin having wings.. but I could have just missed that part.

  4. Collin is always hesitant to use his powers. Perhaps we get to see why…..

    1. He’s more sensitive, my understanding the more he uses them the more it ‘hurts’. He doesn’t have any natural filters. If you’ve seen Firely/Serinty think of River Tam- they stripped her brain so she feels everything all the time and can not turn it off.

So he is powerful, but his powers put him in sensory over load so he is reluctant to use them. Because it frik’en hurts.

  5. I noticed this before, but now that I see it again…

Quinn and Kamden have very similar facial markings. I wonder if they were both made from the same “template” at genoworks, only with Quinn receiving extra alterations based on observations of Kamden and the other prior Sirac’s strengths.

    1. Dying Camden:
*eyes close* I’m proud out you… my daughter.

    2. The Akalaes attempted to slow down their growth acceleration didn’t they? Kamden and Quinn could be from the same “batch” for all we know.

      1. Kamden is from an older batch- he was already adult sized when Quinn and Colin were introduced. He was taken along with the others while Quinn and Colin escaped.

Check out Geneworks Saga for the pages.

      2. No, they’re not. Collin and Quinn were met and helped by Kamden and a number of other Siracs who were already at least teenagers at the time.

Collin and Quinn were specifically stated to be the third batch of siracs. Kamden and the others were the second and the first had just walked away from genoworks because genoworks didn’t have a counter to phasing through walls yet.

  6. Tee hee hee. Hi Colin.

  7. Okay- this puts in some more element of believability. But I still say there is a justified reason why Quinn’s friend who went up against Kamden was very insistent of Quinn *not* facing Kamden.

He’s older, more experienced, darker and more angry then she or Colin. He’s caught off balanced now- but give him moment.

  8. I must be blind – I’m not seeing where we’ve seen Colin’s “wings” before. Does anyone know approximately when that appeared before, so I can find it in the archives?

    1. Today’s their first appearance. They haven’t been seen before.

  9. WINGS!?
