I like how Darius gets sad, and then perks up and realizes how he still got a really awesome present, and remembers to thank his Dad for it. I like to think he was more sad for the Shivae than for himself, and that how awesome his dad was being made him even more grateful.
D’aww~ That’s right. It doesn’t matter if her wings don’t work. She’s still nice, she’s still a Shivae, and she’s still yours to keep. 🙂 (Besides, even if the wings don’t work, they’re still pretty and cute.)
Come to think of it, there’s a good chance that half of her behavior right now is from being glad to finally be out of that shelter… to finally have a home. (:
Darius maybe overly nosey sometimes. Sometimes hyper, sometimes even plainly annoying.
But damn … he still is a really good cub with a heart made of gold.
That shivae would make an adorable model for a plushie =)
Also I wanted to note something about the comic, I can’t go back and forth between pages without clicking a million times as it only refreshes the advertisement under the archive button.
Not sure if this is a known problem or if anyone else has this happening?
As I mentioned before .. the archive button is broken and won’t be fixed until the next comicpress upgrade unless I go in and do it manually and I don’t have time to do that right now. 😀 Just use the arrows.
Heh… that Shivae looks like it masses almost as much as Darius! He must be pretty strong to hold it like that. Maybe it’s the excitement though. You can do amazing things when you don’t pay attention to the fact that you shouldn’t be able to do them at all. 🙂
It’s also possible that the Shivae has hollow or almost-hollow bones. Shivae are basically raptor… well, raptor things. Sort of. They’re light, fast predators, in any case. And since some have wings and are capable of flight (like this one would be, if it weren’t for the tragic wing-smushing), it stands to reason that they have probably very light frames/bone structures.
Which means that while it may take up a smiliar amount of space to Darius, it probably doesn’t weigh nearly as much.
