If Tiff hadn’t said Tira was nervous, I would have thought she was just pulling out the big guns on Darrik — that sort of look would get him to do most anything.
And no, we don’t *know* that Syrys and the King are on a snipe hunt, but the timing is very suspicious. I’d normally think Quinn had a hand in it, but that’s apparently not so. (I shudder to think what Quinn could do should she decide to get up to some really serious mischief with all her capabilities — brrrrrrr.)

Vashra: Tiff is right, as she is the author and would know the script. If I’m not notorious for guessing and speculating at upcoming events, then color me surprised.
The only thing that I know for sure is the likely disposition of one Nevix Astari upon his appearance as a cameo. (He’s my cameo after all.) And while I’m partially sure of how he’ll appear, I’m quite sure that Tiff will still manage to surprise me. And no, I’m not telling anyone about Nevix before he appears.
If I may guess as to what is being whispered: it probably has to do with Tira talking to Darrik earlier, either about his lack of Cyantia fauna knowledge, or just how his presence has made her become super talkative.

I suspect the plot has something to do with the announced hunt. Perhaps they wish to sneak out to watch it?
The alternative is that something said gave Silver an idea for mischief involving the guests, most probably the new guys.
