      I wonder…

      It hasn’t been mentioned in comic if Kamden actually reads minds or if he just receives projected thoughts like Quinn does. (That little fact about Quinn is in the Shivaewiki.)

      If he can receive thoughts, then that’s the image that Filaire wanted Kamden to receive, whether she realizes it or not!

      Kamden must feel like a bug that escaped getting squashed right now.

   I still think Filaire is going to find a nasty surprise from Kamden later on. One does not anger the man who can summon Lovecraftian horrors.

   Filaire needs to meditate on the fact, that in military leadership, you are leading people who carry guns.

   Or in the case of Kamden, perhaps even worse than guns.

   Just fear and terror only works until they are afraid of something else more than you. And even then, you can easily make them hate you more than they fear you. No matter how Billy Bad*** you “think” you are.
