Is it just me or does the manner of speech and the slightly more “shaggy then cyantian” frame remind me of the Werewolf/shapeshifter lad from Campus Safari? Could be interesting!
Don’t show too many teeth in front of herbivores, the rule should be. Actually, wolves do show a sort of clenched-teeth “smile” as an expression of appeasement or submission. This has bred out of domestic dogs, for obvious reasons.

“There are you!” is that a typo or meant to be there, is he flustered? and is that a bear or a big wolf? Bears are awsum!

I can’t tell if this guy is a another student or staff. Either way, he’s either very nervous or, well, very nervous.
And he’s forgetting the Florence Ambrose rule of smiling: Never show too many teeth if you’re a carnivore.

is it suppose to say “There ‘are’ you”?

@Harriman: I think you’ve got it. Love the Freefall reference.

For some reason, I caught the feeling the door answerer should have opened with “You rang?” He just gave off that vibe to me.
As for being nervous, yes, he DOES feel that way…

Nothing suspicious here, nope, not at all.
Wish I could comment on the current comic, not just the most recent one in the archives. I’m probably just missing the trick to it, right?
I kinda like the new toolbar, but it takes some getting used to.
Akaelae is the first Cyantian Chronicles comic I’m serializing in a rewritten, text version. You can read it on Kindle Vella OR via Patreon.
