He might be faking, in the hope that fear for her friends will get Quinn to call them back. One way for an adult to live up to a cocky youth =) Though, if he is, he’s quite good with mock facial expressions.
Eerie Screaming……..A sure fire way to bait up a curious coon. Quinn iz super chick, its beyond bad when she gets scared. A little monster in the underbrush is nothing for her to harass into submission. 🙂
It could be a ghost story to keep cubs safe. It could be someone faking screams and noises to keep people out. Or it could really be something nasty lurking in the woods.
No matter what it is, my curiosity has been peaked. I’ve also got the feeling that Quinn and Silver might already know about the rumored screams. That would let them use the fear of others to their advantage.

All we need now is a talking Great Dane with a speach inpediment and a bunch of meddeling kids.
Prolly genuine fear, but it would be a good calculated move to fake it – it’s not like he can do anything else, afterall, and they’ve already displayed pretty blatant disregard for authority, so threats probably wouldn’t do much.
Also, that sword would weigh a pound or two, tops, and he’s probably in excellent shape – plus as Xeph said yesterday, he hasn’t been holding it out for that long. Shouldn’t be too hard for him to hold it out(tho kitties iRL do have much poorer endurance than hunams – fun fact; those bald apes can maintain a pace that will kill darn near any other land animal on the planet, and is sometimes used as a hunting tactic.)
