   So not necessarily cellular mitosis degradation. The children are immune, but it takes them when the become grups. Will Ada bonk, bonk, Rama on the head?

      Not sure what I scientifically have in mind, but that sounds right. Basically, they made so many changes to their environment that it turned on them and so many changes to their bodies that once they reach full maturity they start wasting away.

         Hmm. It sounds like a form of Progeria that only triggers when one of Ada’s race reaches adulthood combined with early onset Senescence (cellular/genetic level aging) due to complications from too many gene mods.

         Or something along those lines. I’m not 100% sure what would cause that sort of aging/wasting away in a species.

      Oh!!! I was like, “grups… I’ve heard that before somewhere…” 😉 Then I got it when I woke up a bit more. 🙂 I grew up on Star Trek, but it’s been years since I watched much of anything.
