I’m surprised a “hunter” was willing to speak to a “were”. I don’t recall that happening in the old comic, this is interesting! Maybe one had a different moral compass than typical. I also like the new AMIB acronym. 😀

That last panel is excellent, well drawn! Sage looks quite similar to my fursona, apart from the markings.
