  1. Oh dear.

Darius wanted to be the hero, and the best he provides in a little guidance on where Syrys needs to go.

Darius and Quinn find one of the Precursors who created ALL of the immigrant races that live on Cyantia, and they get pushed aside for the trained scientists. They MIGHT get to see Ada again. Eventually. If she doesn’t die too soon.

And now, all Darius is left with is a hosing down by Celina and an amount of frustration that must burn inside him for being pushed aside.

This is going to make that trip to work with the Border Guard hell on him, because he KNOWS what he’s missing.

Methinks he’s going to become a LOT more contentious and troublesome very soon. 🙁

    1. “And on the center, dear readers, we can see the beginnings of the next arc, one that Tiff mentioned already; the one with Darius becoming more and more frustrated with the way he’s treated by the grownups…”

  2. It is always disheartening to be pushed aside and dismissed as unimportant. They made an intriguing friend, and now it’s questionable whether or not they even get to see Ada again.

  3. I gues everyone can relate to Darius in this situation in some way or another. When a kid finds something interesting, they don’t just want to give it up.

One thing I wonder is the counsil going to try to take the Akaelae family totally out of the picture when it comes to Ada?

This is a huge discovery after all. Though another question is how Ada will react to the adults separating the honest kids and replacing them with adults that play political games?

  4. Someone’s ego is sore.

  5. Why do I get the idea Darius is about to do something foolish?

    1. …or make another big discovery? 🙂
