Not an issue since the gland sprays from the base of the tail it could easily be outside the pants (and we know from a different strip that they can do so when that wolf made the mistake of being a jerk to her or her sister and got sprayed for it).
As I recall from the first story iteration came out, many years ago, Chilke could call her armor up. Is this the same case in this story version? It would be very humorous to see the look on his face when that happens.
