So, Rico will poke a heavily injured, delusional guy in his pain spots and be nonchalant about it, even chipper? Remind me, why do all my characters get called psychos for doing morally ambiguous things when one of the main characters does something as morally ambiguous as THIS?
I figured Rico was pretty much doing what every doctor does when trying to figure out what’s wrong. XD
Rico: “Does this hurt?”
Strange guy: “Ow! GO AWAY!”
But she’s right. The training program they went through to become soldiers is probably worst then most have had to deal with. Add in the fact the scientist foxes didn’t create them to be fighters originally from the looks of things, it was probably bad for all of them.

Heh. Poor guy. I’m not sure what’s worse, the injury, or having his safe haven invaded by Ricochete.
Probably the injury, as Rico really does want to help.

Yup, she’s gauging what should be done by touch and sight, because he’s not offering any compliance. She can only see blood, not what is affected.

Oh … I thought she was doing it for self-defense.
Still, it does seem that she’s a bit too chipper for putting a man into agonizing pain without him asking for it.
Akaelae is the first Cyantian Chronicles comic I’m serializing in a rewritten, text version. You can read it on Kindle Vella OR via Patreon.
