Hmm. It seems like it’s a “I don’t want to head this way” kind of noise, as the “bridle” looks closer to a halter, with no actual bit that goes in the mouth of the shivae.
It kind of makes sense, as a Shivae probably doesn’t have the same mouth structure that lets a bridle rest in between sections of teeth in a horse’s mouth. So, training a shivae to be controlled by a lighter touch would likely be necessary.
The irony is: I knew I wasn’t looking for bridle, per se, but couldn’t remember the word I DID want. I’m just not sure why Artrax is making that noise, though I figure it’s cause he really doesn’t want to go back into danger. From what we’ve seen over the years, even feral shivae are smart.

Yeah, Shivae tend to be very cooperative and you can’t put a bit into their mouths because of their teeth. Artrex in this case, had decided she’s had enough of this ‘adventure’.

Is Artrex grunting because Darius pulled HARD on his bridle, or because Darius is still running even after having his life be put in danger?
