Does he mean the choice not to fight Kiet or the choice to run away? Because, while Curatrix got hurt, it was obvious that that hunt was going to happen anyways. I shudder to think what would happen had it not been an Akaelae but a random wolf. Well, the story isn’t over, so we’ll eventually see what is going to happen next.
