I think that this is somewhat definitive proof that Cyantians are looser about nudity than humans. According to the ShivaeWiki timeline, Darius would be about 13/14 at this time which would be way too old for a human to run about in the buff. The opening part where Syrys runs about nude means little because he’s a hardened warrior and didn’t have any clothes at the moment. The mud pit scene in Cubs is at an indeterminate time so we could just say that Darius, Kela, and Sheana are too young to know any better. As for the catnip incident in Cesilee’s Diary, Khaelis was stoned out of his gourd, of course he’d get nude.
I would think that in a furry society, clothing is more fashion statement and some element and workplace protection over any other actual need to be clothed.
Well, human societies in tropical areas where the need to protect from the elements didn’t exist didn’t attach the same amount of sexuality to nudity as more civilized ones. The whole deal was that sexuality was attached to nudity because with a constant need to protect from the elements, people were only nude in bed with each other. I would imagine the Cyantians, with their fur coats protecting them, would at first use clothes as descendants of civilized human cultures but then get looser with the whole thing from generation to generation.
