A nitpick, I know, but you might want to look into the 180-degree rule; it took me a minute to sort out who was talking to whom because the perspective change swapped the sides that Syrys and his father were on in the scene.

Ah, to state an understatement and an overstatement at the same time.
Something tells me his father story is going to be longer then Syrys’s. Syrys has a lot of catching up to do most likely.
