Hope he has a really good reasonably consistent reason and no other way to act but killing the poor little horsy… would be very sad if the say, “the horse is angry… kill him!… no, wait, he is protecting the little vixen… ups!, to late, why we never think before act!”… yea, would be a shame 🙁
I feel compelled to point out that “Dispatch” has more than one meaning. It can also mean: “send away”, “deal with”, or “attend to.” All of which can be done without terminating the existence of.
Yeah generally people associate the word with dispatch with deploying troops/squads/groups or killing. And while its possible that she means send it elsewhere its probably more likely that she meant to kill it. Which I hope isn’t the case!
em, dispatch is to move, in a way. i think in this case its not a reallocation, unless you count the realm of the dead as a country. and getting rid of an animal that has gone, well, insane, isnt something evil, just something that has to be done. so now they just have to be convinced it isnt needed
The technomage called on the “three sisters”, and since as far as I know only the Mounties see the three sisters as (nearly) divine beings, I think this fox is somehow connected to the nearest hall – which hints at her being a “good” fox…

Still an interesting turn of events. I wonder why the technomage is so eager to “dispatch the horse”.

Wow, like humans, first kill, then ask 🙁

And now we start running to problems, again.

I don’t think she plans on killing the horse, just immobilizing it. Thought wouldn’t a tranc. gun be more effictive than and energy wave?

Can too! =P Interesting

Yes, be nice to the dangerous horse. It is, after all someone’s companion.
Yes, some people are definitely the shoot first, ask questions later type.

@ Frost: Maybe it works like a tazer. A giant tazer of sparkly magic.

Lycanthrope: True. However, the expression and the implied tone of voice (Implied by the reaction from in the cave.) says “dispatch” equals “kill”.
Or it says that I’m jumping to the same conclusion that Silver and the Fennec girl are jumping to, whether it’s right or wrong.

Is the TM dexterous(?) enough to hold a horse up one hand and pluck a hole in the rocks with the other at the same time?

Possibly evil foxes? Possibly friendly demon horse?

Every script I have so far with Mercial involves them chopping off heads.
hariman
And thus, we are kept on our toes. We now have the question “Why is Mercial chopping off heads in EVERY script?” floating through our brains.
Well that, and the question “Is that a demonic whip of some sort?” too. But that’s a whole nother matter.
