Yep. I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again.
“Growing up fast” doesn’t mean you grow up fast, it means you grow up with a giant hole where your childhood should be.
Oh, I see; it’s make-your-own-shock-troops. Why recruit from the larger population if you can have home-grown soldiers, trained from birth and possessing of accelerated growth towards adulthood? Any power possessing of these troops and the facilities required to manufacture them would be able to defeat other powers just through sheer force of numbers, while not moving NEARLY as many people away from necessary infrastructure and onto the battlefield.
Doesn’t make the process of making them any less abhorrent, though. I am reminded of the SPARTAN II program from Halo.
