It’s probably because I play D&D so much and have watched people make the same mistake, but the “Good going, give the demon your name,” strikes me as beyond hilarious.
Is like the Swiss knife that everyone has in the pocket. It seems useful till you try to use it π I have learnt: “better claws than small Swiss knifes” except if you fight with a screw π in any case… brave cub!!
“Allow to introduce myself again.”
It kinda reminds me of the movie “van Helsing” which was…well, no big piece of movie-history, but had some nice scenes in it.
Death is not so terrible when you protect your loved ones (in that case his small sister?). And never is so easy to die that it seems when you are enough brave not to be worried about silly things like death when you are worried about important things like no to be killed π
*Snicker* Reminds me of a D&D session a couple years ago. The party encountered a group of “Truenamers”, whose powers were based around knowing someones name.
My character was the only one who was suspicious enough not to introduce himself. Thus, he was the only one who didn’t get his feet stuck to the floor or worse.
It seems like cyantian legends about demons match up with a lot of earth legends. That makes sense as the Mounty religion is based heavily in the old testament.
Hmmm. Quinn is still (nearly) unflappable. The only thing that I’ve seen that can break her “smiley armor” seems to be getting berated by Celina.
Someone should inform your DM that most people don’t even *know* their true names (just their given one), without going through hell and high water to find out, hariman. π

Lorenith: This was years ago, I don’t even play with that group anymore!
Kaotix: They look like they’re several years younger than Quinn and the others. But then again, Quinn probably doesn’t care that she shouldn’t be out and about anyway, as long as no-one gets hurt.
Interesting, Kusac and Isis eh? This comic is so involved, I’ve read all cyantian ones, and it’s so cool how involving the plots are xD. I want to have a cool little knife =( Hope the cub doesn’t cut himself.
Blade looks a little long for a pocket knife, Gmwolf. I’d call it atleast twice the width of his fist, with no visible handle, either, so it’s probably not a flip-knife or the like.
A dagger’s certainly better than claws, if you know how to use it. If you don’t then it’d almost as dangerous to you as it is to the person you’re fighting.
And given that Kusac’s holding it forward, he probably doesn’t know how to(looking at it from an in-universe perspective; most people don’t, either, and Tiff can only portray what she actually knows) – you keep it back, and strike when the enemy gets close, otherwise you’re asking for the other guy to grab it and disarm you befor you can react(and then they’re the one with the knife :p ).
does anybody know about any tv shows or movies or other comics that are like this, also the scrambled text security in the registration on the forum is not loading in firefox or ie. please email me at time_shift at hotmail com
@KHGV Defenestration… So if you are not sure of which is the sharp part of the knife, and thinking that the enemy can take it from you, claws are safe. You know how to use them instinctively and there is no danger the enemy take them from you π I prefer claws than knifes, and swords than claws (although if you don’t know how to use a sword)
No, you know “Scratchy-scratchy the bad thing!” instinctivly(much like a hunam knows “Make-a-fist and punch the bad thing!” pretty instinctivly) – tho constant daily use and familiarity means you’re not too likely to hurt yourself with them, do not assume any natural ability in their use as a weapon.
Someone unskilled with knife fighting is actually advised to go unarmed, tho, atleast if their foe is unarmed. You can’t stab, or puncture organs, with claws, however; a dagger has enormous advantages over claws or fists, it’s mainly the risk of escilating the fight with a weapon easily lost that makes knives a bad idea – if the other guy intends to rip your throat out, you should probably keep it and take your chances, if otherwise outmatched.
A sword offers enough of a reach advantage that it’s probably always a good idea(provided you’re not an idiot and swing wildly, leaving yourself open, or worse, comicly over-ballance).
My own favoured personal weapon, however, is the radio. π
You are right… probably with a sword I will cut my right foot π some times I’ve hurt myself with my own claws (the problem of having good reflex when something falls to the floor) :$ Probably better not to get in a fight π I know a joke is not a joke if you explain it, but, is there another meaning for radio?
Yeah, that is a good brave face. Reminds me of Fisk from Better Days when he hits a rapist in the face with a baseball bat, TWICE, to defend his mom, despite being only nine years old at the time.

It’s even more fun when you’re the GM.
Lorenith
As long as it isn’t her true name it’s ok right? π
There’s something to be said about that little toy the panther boy is brandishing. Hehe.

Brave die first, in general the black guy dies because he always charges in in a movie. At least they’re brave…but dead.
Will Cathers
Hey I know exactly who this black cat is, btw. ^_^

Oh, Will? Do tell.

Oh oh!!!! He could be…. π mmmmm Interesting π

They’re too young to be out, Quinn? What about you, Silver, and the two poor boys who got roped into going with you?

@tumaru, it depends on your definition of “like this”, but nothing really comes to my mind.

Incredibly well drawing the brave face of Kusac π and cute eyes by the way π
